Terms of use
Updated on October 27, 2026
By creating an account you agree to these terms. We kept them short and readable.
The service
Nimbo stores your files in the cloud and lets you reach them from the Mac app and from the web. It is operated by Lucas Maffei (LumaSoft), in Brazil.
Nimbo is new. Some features described on the site are marked as coming soon and are not available yet.
Your account
You need a valid email address and are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens in your account.
Your files are yours. We only use them to provide the service to you.
Acceptable use
Do not use Nimbo to store or share content that is illegal, that infringes the rights of others, or malware; to send spam; or to attack, overload or get around the limits of the service.
Accounts that break these rules may be blocked, and public links and pages to receive files may be turned off, with or without notice depending on how serious the case is.
Links you share
Anyone who has a link you created can open what it points to, and anyone with the link to a page to receive files can send you files. You are responsible for what you share and for the links you hand out. Use a password and an expiry date when it makes sense, and revoke links you no longer need.
Plans and billing
Every account has 1 GB free. More space is sold in blocks of 100 GB, at the prices on the pricing page.
Billing is manual for now: to change your plan, write to nimbo@lumahost.com. If a paid plan is not paid, the account may go back to the free plan; files are never deleted for that reason, but new uploads stop while you are over the limit.
Availability
We work to keep Nimbo running and your files safe, but we cannot promise the service will always be available or free of errors. Keep another copy of files that you cannot afford to lose.
To the extent the law allows, Nimbo is not liable for indirect losses or for losses caused by events outside our control.
Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings, which deletes your files. We may close accounts that break these terms, and if we ever shut Nimbo down we will give you at least 30 days to take your files out.
Changes and contact
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will let you know by email before the change takes effect. Questions go to nimbo@lumahost.com.
